Explanation:

Comparative adjectives: (adjetivo comparativo)

*Usamos los adjetivos comparativos para comparar algo con otra cosa, por lo tanto, siempre tiene que haber dos elementos.

*El «que» que usamos en castellano, en inglés es «than«.

*Y el «más» o el «menos» se forma:

– añadiendo al final del adjetivo «-er» (si el adjetivo tiene menos de 3 sílabas).

– añadiendo antes del adjetivo «more» (si el adjetivo tiene 3 o más sílabas).

A flower is smaller than a tree.

A flower is more colorful than a tree.

Superlative adjectives: (adjetivo superlativo)

*Usamos los adjetivos superlativos para decir que algo es el que más o el que menos.

*La partícula «el» que usamos en castellano, en inglés es «the«.

*Y «(el) que más» o «(el) que menos» se forma:

– añadiendo al final del adjetivo «-est» (si el adjetivo tiene menos de 3 sílabas).

– añadiendo antes del adjetivo «most» (si el adjetivo tiene 3 o más sílabas).

Ana is the smallest in her class.

Ana is the most unhappy girl in her class.
